Fine Arts

Cy Falls, along with two other schools, was chosen to showcase our Fine Arts program to community members. This included seeing performances from the band and colorguard, choir, and theater, while culinary prepared small snacks for everyone to eat. The group was taken on a small tour around the school to see classes like FFA, welding, and architecture.
“I want them to see that school is just more than academics,” Principle Rebecca Denton said. “Academics is so important, and it’s what we focus on, but there are so many other things that we do.”
The band did a phenomenal job at performing their halftime show, the show they’ve been perfecting since August. With the color guard accompanying them, the show was exciting, loud, and obviously done with great heart.
“The band and color guard were wonderful,” community member Lisa White said. “I’m very excited to see the rest of the programs.”
Programs at Falls, specifically the Fine Arts, do a nice job at catering to the student. Each program was designed to help to grow the student, not only in their current task, but later in life.
“I love seeing everything [Cy Falls] offers to the students,” community member, Amber Horsley said. “That can help determine what [the student] wants to do in the future.”
Attending Cy Falls means being a part of a very large family, but being a member of the Fine Arts program is something truly special.
“We should look at the similarities we have, and not the differences like the world, unfortunately, does,” Associate Superintendent Roy Garcia said. “I’m glad you all are learning about how more alike you are than different, and that we are one.”
