Eagles Down The Falcons Early On

The Eagles had no difficulty coming off of a tough loss against the Cy-Fair Bobcats two weeks ago, and with a bye week under their belts, they were revved up and ready to go. They started strong and never looked back, defeating the Jersey Village Falcons by a score of 42-0 on Friday night at Pridgeon Stadium.

The Eagles started the game with four straight touchdowns in the first quarter. Two on passes and two via a couple of runs from JP Martin (11) and Jaylan Walker (11). The two touchdowns coming from Eagles Quarterback Brandon Collins (12) to receivers Trey Silas (10) and Ricky Johnson (12). The score to end the first quarter was 28-0 with the Eagles leading.

On the first drive of the second quarter, the Eagles threw a few big passes then JP Martin took the football in for a short, but effective run for the touchdown. On the very next drive, he did the exact same thing again adding to his touchdown total on the night, three to be exact. The Eagles defense played solid in the first half and kept a zero in the score column for the Falcons. The score at halftime was 42-0.

After the half, not much except defense was happening. Both defenses were in good shape not allowing any points to be scored for the entirety of the second half.

The Eagles will take on the Stratford Spartans at Pridgeon Stadium next Friday for the annual homecoming game at 7 p.m.
