The U.K. extended social distancing regulation for an undetermined amount of time as England’s Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty announces social distancing will continue until there is a treatment or vaccine for the Covid-19 virus. 

 

The state of Missouri is suing China, claiming the Chinese government did little to stop the spread of the virus.

White House coronavirus task force member and FDA commissioner Dr. Stephen Hahn announces that the U.S. has enough tests for phase one of the White House’s plan to reopen the U.S.

 

In an effort to help support small businesses and expand Covid-19 testing, the House of Representatives passed a $430 billion stimulus package. 

 

Unemployment in the U.S. continues to rise as a reported 26.5 million Americans are now out of work.

Malaysia extends their lockdown and Indonesia bans all domestic travel as the Muslim holiday of Ramadan begins. 

 

President Trump announces the U.S. will send ventilators to Ecuador, El Salvador, and Indonesia.

The U.K. announces that they will host a summit on June 4 to help encourage the international community to work together in finding a vaccine. The World Health Organization continues to push new efforts to accelerate the development of a vaccine. 

 

Sunday, April 26, 2020

The CDC updates the list of possible symptoms for the Covid-19 virus, adding chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and new loss of taste or smell. 

 

Ecuador is suffering one of the world’s worst Covid-19 outbreaks as the number of Covid-19 cases sharply rises across all of Latin America. 

 

Spain eases its lockdown restrictions as children are now allowed outside of their house for one hour a day.

According to Johns Hopkins University, over three million people are infected with Covid-19 and at least 210,000 have been killed worldwide because of it.
