Spring break is usually a time to go out and enjoy the nice weather at the beach or the park, but with many places closed, it may be better to just stay at home and watch a movie. So grab your popcorn and blanket because we are going to list our favorite movie choices that you should binge-watch before spring break is over.

#1 Knives Out (2019)

SynopsisThe circumstances surrounding the death of crime novelist Harlan Thrombey are mysterious, but there’s one thing that renowned Detective Benoit Blanc knows for sure — everyone in the wildly dysfunctional Thrombey family is a suspect. Now, Blanc must sift through a web of lies and red herrings to uncover the truth.

#2 Avengers: Endgame (2019)

Cast Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chadwick Boseman, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Holland, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, and Benedict Cumberbatch. 

Synopsis Adrift in space with no food or water, Tony Stark sends a message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply starts to dwindle. Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers — Thor, Black Widow, Captain America, and Bruce Banner — must figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies for an epic showdown with Thanos — the evil demigod who decimated the planet and the universe.

#3 A Quiet Place (2018)

Cast John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe.

Synopsis If they hear you, they hunt you. A family must live in silence to avoid mysterious creatures that hunt by sound. Knowing that even the slightest whisper or footstep can bring death, Evelyn and Lee are determined to find a way to protect their children while desperately searching for a way to fight back.

Why we recommend it John Krasinski is more than just Jim from The Office, he’s also the director of A Quiet Place and one of the main characters too. The movie will have you on edge from start to finish.

 

#4 Contagion (2011)

Cast Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Synopsis When Beth Emhoff returns to Minnesota from a Hong Kong business trip, she attributes the malaise she feels to jet lag. However, two days later, Beth is dead, and doctors tell her shocked husband that they have no idea what killed her. Soon, many others start to exhibit the same symptoms, and a global pandemic explodes. Doctors try to contain the lethal microbe, but society begins to collapse as a blogger fans the flames of paranoia.

Why we recommend it Well, there is a pandemic happening right now, so why not watch a movie about a pandemic?

 

#5 Inception (2010)

Synopsis Dom Cobb is a thief with the rare ability to enter people’s dreams and steal their secrets from their subconscious. His skill has made him a hot commodity in the world of corporate espionage but has also cost him everything he loves. Cobb gets a chance at redemption when he is offered a seemingly impossible task: Plant an idea in someone’s mind. If he succeeds, it will be the perfect crime, but a dangerous enemy anticipates Cobb’s every move.

Why we recommend it This film takes a lot of focusing because it goes fast. The story is very unique and well thought out by director Christopher Nolan. The ending, by the way, is the best part.
